VoIP Mid level engineer will install, design, development and maintain Cisco Unified Communication environments for a DoD Agency in CONUS. This includes all activities in support of implementation and maintaining Cisco Unified Communication (UC) services on Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) platforms. The candidate should be well versed in Cisco Unified Communication technologies. Those technologies include: Call Manager (v8.X), Unity Connection, voice gateways, international dialing plans (including emergency services), and Cisco Prime Provisioning Suite. The candidate should also be familiar with Department of Defense (DOD) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation and validation procedures. The candidate must have experience with deployment of the Cisco Unified Computing system and V-Ware Sphere v 5.0 or greater. The work is performed Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
Knowledge and experience with telecommunications and principles related to Cisco Unified Communications services
Knowledge and experience with Cisco Communication Managers, Cisco Unity/ Cisco Unity Connection and Prime Provisioning applications.
Ability to configure UC services, applications, end point devices and other aspects of the UC system. This includes Cisco Local Session Controllers.
Implement Cisco Unified Communications solutions on Cisco Unified Computing Services platforms.
Developed detailed design and operational requirement documents.
Analyzes voice and network readiness for VoIP and develop an implementation strategy.
Provides detailed reports and communications to the project management team regarding the operational status of the Unified Communications deployment and project status.
Author documentation and detailed network drawings and other required documentation based on the client’s requirements.
Provide technical and end user training to other personnel as needed.
Experience with Cisco Local Session Controls (CLSCC) and configuration, MGCP, Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) implementation and maintenance
Experience with call setup and signaling, quality of service, design and support of unified communications networks, configuring and installing voice gateways.
Knowledge and experience in networking principles and administration
Must be able to work as part of a team, or independently with little explicit direction
Must have good communications skills and experience working with different teams, and directly with the customer.
3+ years of experience with Cisco Unified Communications services
3+ years of experience with Cisco Communications Manager and Cisco Unity Connection applications.
