Candidate will provide Windows System administration support services to a DoD Agency. Candidate must perform maintenance including patch management services to include: upgrades to servers, applications, software and hardware, and drivers; web updates for local and external customers (internet and intranet; troubleshooting server issues and be able to use the Enterprise standard tools for updating and patching. The work is performed Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
Provide data backup administration for all DLA systems including but not limited to Windows, UNIX, Citrix, Exchange and Web, classified and unclassified.
Provide account management for local drives including folder permissions.
Provide support for the print, File Transfer Protocol (FTP)/Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) and digital sender servers.
Manage the tape backup and recovery operations to include interaction with DLA provided backup software, e.g., CA-1, Symantec Netbackup or Veeam virtual server backup software and ensure backups occur as scheduled and that tape read/write errors do not occur and reschedules backups as required
Monitor climate conditions, commercial power input, emergency power hardware (Uninterruptible Power Supply, batteries, generator, etc.), air conditioning, and Power Distribution Unit normal operations within the computing facility in order to provide situation awareness of operational thresholds.
5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering / Administration
