We have an exciting opportunity for Voice/Unified Capabilities Engineer (Senior) to join our team.
Ensure compliance with telecommunications standards, stable environment for application software processing, and diagnose and correct problem situations.
Will analyze requirements and design, develop, install, configure, implement, and maintains local and wide area networks to provide data communication. Understands hardware, protocols, and network operating systems
Assists management and direction of projects and project phases, write proposals and specifications, and assist project team members. Maintain system documentation on internal Command Management System
Ensure effective and efficient installation and subsequent utilization of new Unified Communication capability, Voice Switching System (VSS), Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VOIP), Voice-over-Secure-Internet Protocol (VoSIP), Telephone Management Systems (TMS) and Call Accounting Systems (CAS), and Enhanced 911 services for the ANG enterprise
Provide LAN Engineering support recommendations to field NCC personnel via email or phone
Provide Voice Engineering support recommendations to field personnel via email or phone
Provide advice on emerging/developing Unified Communication for Voice & Data technologies in the ANG enterprise
Provide Network Engineering Support: develop project documentation, installation procedures, and ANG personnel Training in accordance with SOW
An in depth understanding of the IP based real time communications
7 years recent (within the last 10 years) demonstrated experience in network engineering with a focus on design, procurement, implementation and upgrade of enterprise-wide, large-scale internet protocol version 4 (IPv4) and knowledge of IPv6 networking infrastructure and complex distributed networks of multiple classifications and network management systems, all integrated with complex data center, DoD C2 systems, audio/visual and video-teleconferencing systems and information assurance processes and procedures.
Expertise with Multiprotocol label switched network design, quality of service, traffic engineering, network management systems, cross domain solutions, gigabit passive optical networking, design and implementation of reliable and redundant network services (domain name systems, dynamic host control protocol, lightweight directory access protocol), intrusion detection and protection systems, firewalls, proxy systems, network-based information assurance devices.
Understanding of military/government (AF/ANG) network systems and processes.
CCNP/CCDP/CCNA Voice Certified
Must have a current DoD Secret Clearance
Certified CompTIA Security+, Network+ or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Experience with Cisco Equipment
Experience with Nortel Equipment
Recent experience with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) processes
Knowledgeable understanding of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI)
Understanding of the evolving standards for Net Centric Enterprise Services, services-based Information Technology (IT) architectures, and publish-and-subscribe IT infrastructures
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) /Avaya Certified Solutions Architect (ACSA) /Avaya Certified Solution Specialist (ACSS) / Avaya Professional Design Specialist (APDS) certification + 10 years of experience; + Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) OR Avaya Certified Solutions Architect (ACSA)
IPv6 implementation and support
Avaya Unified Communications Manager, Gateways, VOIP Heavy Experience, Nortel PBX Heavy Experience, BCM, VOIP SIP
a) Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics and 10+ years of network experience in DoD projects
