For a major Federal agency, support the Office of Information Technology with providing mentoring on the use of the Agile software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology on a project-team level.
Assist in assessing the organization's current processes and assist in developing mentoring plans accordingly for organizational improvement. Assist in measuring results and effectiveness of implemented improvements. Assist with coaching on all levels of Agile and Scrum. Collaborate with organizational leaders to plan and implement best practices. Assist and support Scrum teams in resolving conflicts through mentoring, education and influence. Encourage and promote Agile transformation and organizational change. Become current in Agile development industry practices through active involvement within the Agile Community. The successful candidate will actively work with a team all areas of the client’s organization to help transform teams and individuals to become self-organized and self-sustaining. Additionally, this candidate will assist in fostering Agile adoption throughout an organization through workshops, group mentoring and one-on-one mentoring.
1 - 3 years of professional IT experience.
Must be familiar with Agile methodologies, scrum and techniques and become certified in one of the areas.
Must be able to translate Agile practices to an organization that is unfamiliar or practicing.
CSM Certified or ability to become CSM certified within 60 days.
Must have strong communication, organization and leadership skills.
Must be self-motivated, well organized and have strong innovation and facilitation skills.
Ability to mentor is preferred.
Must work cooperatively in a team of Agile Mentors.
