Develops, implements, and maintains a Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) program, including software testing and inspection procedures; while ensuring services are performed in accordance with commonly accepted commercial practices and existing QC systems. Provides input into the schedule activities and durations; develops and updates QA test plans, develops test condition and test cases to support both QA/QC and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) testing activities; develops and implements procedures to identify, prevent and ensure non-recurrence of defective services; provides input on product quality to project stakeholders; works with limited direction on complex assignments; and documents the results of all work activities.

Knows how to and can design and execute software tests and then evaluate the results to ensure compliance with applicable requirements, design specifications and regulations
Designs and prepares test data needed to support all conceivable test scenarios
Interfaces with various functional teams (i.e., developers, business analysts, subject matter experts) to create detailed test scenarios and to document the steps for problem re-creation
Understands and values the differences between various types of testing and can execute the appropriate test for a given situation. Test types include, but are not limited to: unit, functional, integration, regression, smoke, performance, load/stress and acceptance. · Nine years of relevant technical experience; and experience with IBM Rational Test Suite –Microsoft Visual Studio - TFS (Team Foundation Server), ClearQuest, and ClearCase. All education must be from an accredited institution.
Excellent communication skills, including fluency in English, and the ability to effectively communicate in formal settings. Bachelor's Degree in engineering, analytical or closely related field. Master of Science degree plus 7 years of directly applicable experience, or a Doctorate degree plus 3 years of directly applicable experience.
