The Application Support Analyst is responsible for providing technical support for a vast array of software applications and interfaces.  They are responsible for maintaining a stable computing environment by performing the following duties:

Performing application administration tasks including security and monitoring
Working with application vendor and in-house development and infrastructure teams to coordinate issue resolution
Performing application upgrades
Managing and maintaining applications for optimal performance
Responding to customers within timeframe dictated by the severity of the problem

Researching technical issues using sources such as error logs and product technical documentation and identifying solutions to resolve problems or improve efficiency
Supporting customers on complex technical issues including daily processing, configuration management, client/server software installation and maintenance

Reviewing and testing application configuration changes (new releases, product changes, service packs, and critical fixes) prior to distribution

Requirements

Experience supporting applications in a Microsoft Windows environment
Experience with SQL database
Prior application administration experience in big enterprise environment
Excellent technical troubleshooting skills
Excellent customer service skills
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work in a fast paced environment
4 year degree
5+ years software support and troubleshooting

 

Day-to-Day

Troubleshooting and maintaining a variety of software applications and interfaces
Responding to 2nd and 3rd level application issues escalated from the Service Desk
Proactively managing application environment to ensure optimal performance
